An artist in more ways than one, Douglas strives to bring his client’s inner creativity to the surface whether it's fashion shades or natural hues. A keen eye for detail and placement creates a fluid contrast from one color to the next. Douglas is fascinated with the ever changing trends in the industry and is always trying to break the mold with exciting new techniques and gaining inspiration from the world around him.
Douglas is always excited and creatively motivated when given a challenge. He especially excels with drastic transitions and avant-garde inspirational pieces that are brought to him. Douglas believes that hair isn’t just hair, it’s a canvas that reflects the individuality and beauty of each person.

April began her career 10 years ago in Beaufort, South Carolina, where she worked at the premiere Lime Lite Salon. She then moved to Georgia and worked as a color specialist for Level Spa Salon before joining forces with Douglas Sherman to open J. Sherman Salon in Poncey-Highland. April continues her education by attending hair shows and has participated on stage as well. She got her artistic start by getting her degree in photography at The Art Institute of Atlanta, and in her free time she travels as often as possible with her daughter, Scarlett.

Hi, I am Kelly Kyker and I am a stylist/master colorist that has been working behind the chair for over 20 years.
During my first decade of styling I decided to focus solely on color. I trained with Toni and Guy color institute and went on to educate others on color. After working as a master colorist for 7 years, I went back to doing both styling and color while working for myself for the past 15 plus years.
My life took an unexpected turn in 2020 and I found myself ready to work again with others in a great salon atmosphere and I found that here at J.Sherman Salon.
My focus with a client is always finding what is the best style for them to manage. The best way to do this, is always taking time to have a thorough consultation before anything begins. When it comes to color, there isn’t any color I can’t make better or blonde I can’t perfect!
Hanna Ganatos

Hanna has been doing hair for seven years. Shortly after moving to Atlanta she fell in love with perfecting all types of fades. It’s a great day for Hanna when she gets to do a bald fade or faded mullet! Hanna is also always ready to cheer clients on while they get their first nose wax (ask her about them, she bets she can convince you to give it a try).

Penny is a Brussels Griffon, also known as an ewok, and she has been studying hair for 38 years. Her hobbies include flying first class, sitting in clients’ laps, and staring directly into your soul.

Salon Greeter
Dagger is a long haired dachshund with a passion for tennis balls and sliced cheese. You’ll find Dagger being his mom’s shadow around the salon or begging clients for pets. He’s a small dog with a big personality!
